Unpainted Prospects and Greg Steps share the bill once again to perform their fine alt-folk and folk-country tunes!
Unpainted Prospects open doors to places that are sometimes raw, sometimes strange, sometimes clear and sometimes achingly unsettled. Unpainted Prospects is the latest vehicle for Melbourne explorer-songwriter and alt-folk storyteller Matthew Daniel (Roddy Read Songwriting Award 2017 Finalist). In a special intimate acoustic show, Unpainted Prospects will be 'going Woodface' with Matthew's brother Alfred joining to perform songs from his project The Bell Parade.
Greg Steps is a folk/ country singer-songwriter whose songs evoke the vast desolate landscape of Australia’s barren interior. While following in the tradition of archetypal singer-songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, Steps also draws influence from various Australian bands of the 1980's, such as The Go-Betweens, The Triffids and Paul Kelly & The Coloured Girls. With his distinctive voice, unique songs and unconventional between-song banter, he has proven himself to be a true original.
